Rayburn Elementary has had a long legacy of excellence and we will ensure to continue moving forward and innovating to ensure your child receives the best education.

We are a “District of Champions” in McAllen ISD and we get your child started on that path at Rayburn. Along with their core instruction, which is carefully reviewed and planned each week, they will also have the opportunity to experience the Music in the Brain program. This is an amazing opportunity for your child to learn and grow in their academics and fine arts skills. You can find more information on this website. We are also proud to be designated as a Silver School with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, which means that we are dedicated to providing your child with excellent physical education daily and balanced meal programs. 

We are the only elementary school in the district to provide students with the opportunity to be a part of the National Elementary Junior Honor Society. Our students are also able to be a part of various UIL teams, Rayburn Student Council, Chorale group, or dance team. Whether your child is a part of any of the aforementioned, or the Rayburn Robotics team, Chess Team, or being challenged through our STEAM+ curriculum we will also be dedicated to developing their emotional intelligence (EQ) along the way to make them well rounded strong individuals so that they are prepared for the rest of their educational journey.
