Rayburn Student Wins District Science Fair!
Emilio Mas, a fifth grader at Rayburn Elementary, won the Grand Prize in the annual McAllen ISD Science Fair Dec. 12 at Wilson Elementary. His project was a study of the PH balance of different fruits and was called “Papaya Galore.” Pictured from left to right are Sandy Torres, Assistant Center Director for Sylvan Learning Center; Mas; Karen McNallen, McAllen ISD Elementary Science Coordinator; and Yuko Garcia, Director of Contract Services for Sylvan Learning Center.
